Where we are, and where you are
Handia is a tehsil in the east of Prayagraj district, on the road towards Varanasi. Indumati Netralaya is on Meja Road, Near HDFC Bank, Opposite D.G.S Marriage Hall, Meja, Prayagraj. We say plainly that the hospital is in Meja rather than in Handia — but for Handia town, Bhiti, Saidabad and the villages towards the Varanasi road, it is the nearest NABH Entry Level certified eye hospital, and it is a great deal closer than Prayagraj city.
Free surgery under Ayushman Bharat
If you hold an Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY) card, or qualify under the UP DBCS scheme, your eye operation is free — the surgery, the lens and the follow-up visits. This applies wherever in the district you live. Bring the card and your Aadhaar; our team checks eligibility before anything is scheduled, so you know where you stand before you commit to a date.
Spectacles and contact lenses are not covered by the scheme. We say so here rather than at the counter.

Getting here from Handia
From Handia, travel towards Prayagraj and then south on Meja Road to Meja. Call us and we will give you directions from your village. We are open 9am to 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday.
